Joe Bucheit, President and CEO

Joe Buckheit

Chief Executive Officer

Joe founded MediaBrains and has led the company through its development and growth since 1996, maintaining a strong culture of innovation. He continues to guide the company’s business and technical strategies, drawing on over 15 years of experience founding, growing, and leading digital media companies. The MediaBrains Network today includes more than 4000 advertisers marketing in over 115 of the Internet’s top business directories.

Joe is also the founder and CEO of AgingCare.com, a website and magazine providing support and information to families caring for elderly relatives. Joe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Syracuse University and began his career developing software for the financial industry. When he is away from the office, Joe enjoys cycling, running, and spending time with family.

Suzanne Zapfel, President

Suzanne Zapfel


Suzanne assumed the role of president in 2014 to oversee day-to-day operations, focus technology & product development strategies, and spearhead efforts to improve customer experience. Her collaborative approach guides the management team in their efforts to provide leadership for the company while promoting revenue growth, profitability and organizational development.

Prior to joining MediaBrains in 1999 as Chief Financial Officer, Suzanne held senior financial management positions with various divisions of The McGraw-Hill Companies and Westinghouse Broadcasting. Suzanne also served as President for Ocean Blue Enterprises, an e-commerce company. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from the University of South Florida. On her own time, she enjoys golfing, cooking, reading, and travel to exotic locations.

Scott Horner, Director of Operations

Scott Horner

Director of Operations

Scott directs the operational activities of the business, including improvements to and maintenance of the customer resource management system. He serves as a liaison between the sales and tech teams, working to improve business processes and facilitate interdepartmental communication.

A member of the MediaBrains family since 1999, Scott has been involved in most aspects of the business. His previous responsibilities include work as a project manager, technical roles in web development and IT management, and leading the MediaBrains sales and client service teams. Scott began his career at MediaBrains following his engineering education at Edison State College. When he’s not at work, Scott enjoys golf, tennis, fishing and travel.

Judith Gaa, National Accounts Manager

Judith Gaa

National Accounts Manager

Judith works with advertisers to identify and implement advertising strategies that drive results. She is skilled at understanding the best network placement for a company, maximizing opportunities for marketers to engage industry buyers and channel traffic to their website.

Judith joined the MediaBrains family in 2007. Her previous experience includes more than seven years of account management experience with various online marketing organizations. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Illinois State University. Judith is a hockey enthusiast and likes to spend her free time with her dogs and family.

Jennie Haas, Accounting and Renewal Contracts Administrator

Jennie Haas

Accounting and Renewal Contracts Administrator

Jennie is responsible for contacting and guiding advertisers through the contract renewal process and works directly with marketers to review ad performance. She also manages the company’s accounts payable and receivable activities.

Jennie has been a member of the MediaBrains family since 2003; previous to joining MediaBrains, she served as Listing Secretary for National Yacht Brokerage. Jennie is an avid reader and enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Sadie Littel, Marketing Coordinator

Marketing Coordinator

Sadie strives to provide the best customer and user experience by ensuring high quality digital content in company profiles across all MediaBrains Directories. She manages all new directory build projects, all aspects of service fulfillment, and the end-to-end execution of email marketing campaigns, including planning, content, and analysis & reporting.

Sadie is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Florida Gulf Coast University. She gained experience in team development and talent acquisition as a Talent Manager for a luxury retail brand. When Sadie isn’t at work, she enjoys spending time with family, friends and her two dogs, playing tennis, cooking, and volunteering with the American Cancer Society.

Kendall Borelli, Marketing Coordinator

Marketing Coordinator

Kendall manages the digital content for the company profiles within the business directories as well as service fulfillment. She also coordinates the email marketing campaigns from planning to reporting the campaign performance as well as managing new directory build projects.

Prior to joining MediaBrains, Kendall worked in the real estate industry managing email campaigns and local newspaper advertisements for real estate listings. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing with a minor in Psychology from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. When she’s not at work, Kendall enjoys being outdoors, boating, and spending time with friends and family.

Kristoffer Stewart, BtoB Content Marketing Specialist

Kristoffer Stewart

Account Executive

Kristoffer helps BtoB companies increase their exposure, brand awareness and sales. He works with advertisers to ensure that their organization is positioned well within the MediaBrains network and assists businesses to enhance marketing campaigns through their advertising efforts in MediaBrains business directories.

Kristoffer previously filled the role of BtoB Content Marketing Specialist for MediaBrains. He also held positions as a Marketing Assistant at Alliance Performance Systems and as Associate Editor of a nationally read BtoB trade publication serving the healthcare IT sector. Kristoffer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising from the University of South Florida. When he’s not at work, he enjoys sailing and spending time with his family.

Kyle Watts, Account Executive

Account Executive

As a member of the sales team, Kyle works with advertisers to help them increase their online exposure and advertising opportunities in the many business directories that MediaBrains offers. He is skilled at finding the best placement for his clients to maximize their traffic and marketing dollars while helping drive success to the desired companies.

Kyle has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sports Management and Business Administration from Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri. While in college, Kyle completed many marketing internships for the college and also held several leadership positions in his fraternity, Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He also served as team captain as well as the Wide Receiver/Tight Ends coach on his college football team. When Kyle is not working he enjoys spending time with friends and family, going to the beach and watching every football game he can fit in.

Frank Willshire, Senior Software Engineer

Frank Willshire

Senior Software Engineer

Frank is part of the team that develops and maintains Web and database software, designed to not only meet today’s business needs, but also evolve with the needs of marketers in the digital space.

A member of the MediaBrains team since 1998, Frank’s prior experience includes positions as a Software Engineer for American Tower Corporation, a Web Application Developer for Bluestreak, and as a Software Engineer for Grantham Mayo Otterloo. He holds a Masters in Computer Information Technology from Hodges University. Frank enjoys playing tennis and keeping up with changes in the software industry.
