MediaBrains Expands its Management Team to Support Growth
NAPLES, Florida –MediaBrains, a leader in b-to-b online directory advertising, announced today it has expanded its executive management team to position the company for continued growth and expansion into new business areas.
Jim Murchison has been named Vice President of Technology; Rebecca Percell, Vice President of Product Development; Gina Paddock, Vice President of Sales and Katie Brennan joins MediaBrains as Vice President of Brand Development.

"The opportunities that lie ahead call for experienced executive leadership, and this talented team demonstrates the ability to lead our company into the future."
Murchison was a member of the company’s founding team in 1997 and has extensive experience in database and web-based application development. He will oversee the technological aspects of MediaBrains including software development and database administration. Murchison has a unique blend of business acumen and technical skills, which makes him the ideal person to oversee the company’s technology. Murchison has served as a Technology Solutions Consultant and Senior Software Engineer prior to his current role. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Florida State University and is a Microsoft Certified Solution Developer.
As Vice President of Product Development, Percell will have responsibility for overseeing the overall product design, implementation, testing and support of MediaBrains products and services. With MediaBrains since 2000, she has been instrumental in successfully integrating prior acquisitions into the company. Her work as a Project Manager and Business Analyst has given her a keen understanding of MediaBrains internal and external clients’ needs, and has prepared her well for her current role. Prior to joining MediaBrains, Percell worked as a Packaging Engineer for Tyco Electronics (formerly AMP Incorporated). She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Packaging Engineering from Michigan State University.
Paddock’s title of Vice President, Sales better reflects her responsibility for all advertising sales revenue as well as expanding relationships with publishers. Previously, Paddock was named Vice President, Client Services and since joining MediaBrains in 2000, she has also been a Senior Account Executive and Client Trainer. Prior to joining MediaBrains, Paddock was the Director of Education at New Horizons Denver, where she oversaw all sales and marketing operations, managed a team of account executives, and developed corporate alliances with Microsoft, Oracle, Novell and Sallie Mae Foundation. Paddock has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from the University of South Florida.
Brennan joins MediaBrains to diversify the company’s reach into new areas of online publishing. She came from Cygnus Business Media, where she was Group Vice President, responsible for the strategic and financial growth of 25 trade publications in diverse vertical markets. Previously, she held positions as Vice President, Business Development for WatchIT.com; Vice President, Enterprise Technologies Group, with United Business Media (currently CMP); Publisher of Unix Review Magazine and sales management positions with several leading b-to-b publications. Brennan has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Delaware, including the International Marketing Program at the University of London. She was also selected for the Executive Publishing Program at the Kellogg School of Management and Executive Management Studies at Cornell University.
